The 1000U is the shoulder mount. The CX12 is not. 1000U Advantage. In any case, you use a tripod, steadicam device, camera crane or other stabilizers. Never pull pocket.

The 1000U is a manual audio control, the CX12 has a single "win MICREF level microswitch is normal or low. 1000U Advantage.

Both have a 1 / 8 inch (3.5 mm) stereo audio jack. BeachTek Use an adapter or a microphone XLR juicedLink professional quality.

The CX12 has 1080p. Both derivatives can be digitally "Cineframe which is very good.

1000U HDV recording. The CX12 AVCHD files stored in highly compressed. 1000U Advantage.

The 1000U uses miniDV tape and DV recording in standard definition and high definition HDV. Records CX12 tor hard disk. 1000U Advantage.

The 1000U has used the same objective and imaging chips, the CX12.

Please keep your expectations in perspective ... You say that "the requirement that a professional camera like a movie you had seen in a cinema, and must be one of these or other camcorder that is under $ 1400. But most films in cinemas are equipped with Sony CineAlta, Panavision, Arri, Red or VariCam camera shot ... They start at $ 80,000.

You do not have the same quality control and semi-professionals, "a" of the camera. HD1000U and CX12 are both consumers and small lenses imaging chips - its performance in low light is not very good. If the lighting is good, the 1000U is a much better solution.

.. HDR-CX12 is a camera Consumer. /. The defintly not a professional camera ..
.. has some nice features, but not really a professional .. Function and its purpose only 12x optical zoom (CRAP).
