BMI body mass index, and nothing more than these figures are based on averages. BMI is just a small indicator,%% body fat and water are much more important.
The BMI does not take into account three different types of institution which is a big mistake in the system.
For example, a very muscular people have a low BMI, while his body fat is less than 15%.
I'm not a big fan of BMI, but a place to begin.
It is essentially a comparison of weight and body size. It is not always the best number to go to because they do not take into account frame size, bone density, muscle mass, etc. It would be better to go by their percentage of body fat rather than BMI.
